There are mornings like this : you wake up, brimming with energy and poised to take up all your unaccomplished misadventures but you cannot. You just don't have the other one to make it a twosome. Or, you have many. Perhaps too many acquaintances, yet today, either they lack the enthusiasm you possess, or you're swamped with a plethora of choices and possibilities. Whom to select? What to do? And how? The choice of executing the best remains elusive.
It poured all the night. A café noir would suffice? No. With some cookies? Errm, yes but how about a sandwich? Not really in mood of eating chicken now. Mushroom, perhaps? Yeah, will do but I don't have brown bread right now with me. Oh, god! Bunk it ; tell me, you would like to have it with cheese or just with some oregano sprinkled over the sautéed mushrooms? As you wish, but please, no sauce, alright? Alright, how about...
And now you sit blindfolded, totally perplexed and caught in an eternal cycle of analysis-paralysis on such a muggy morning. It reminds you of those KFC or Subway vendors who inundate you with options only to elude you from the best and the genuine. Your energy starts dissipating now with each attempt to choose the best.
Forget it, I'll settle for black coffee and some toast.
With that settled, you head to the balcony and light a cigarette.
You haven't yet choosen your suffering, my mate!
